WADDH has the following goals and objectives:
Certification:
Provide a designation that certifies that its members posses an appropriate level of proficiency and competency in the core subject areas expected of a PhD and required of professionals.
Advocacy:
Champion the benefits of obtaining the Certified Doctorate designation by the individual and promote the benefits of employing WADDH members to, educational, professional and business leaders. Increase the visibility of the members in the job market and generate awareness of the competence, integrity and professionalism expected of its members.
Partnerships:
Establish relations with business schools, accrediting bodies and other affiliations to demonstrate the usefulness of the IACD exam as an accurate assessment component of the assurance of learning goals established by these institutions as well as a peer-benchmarking tool.
Communication:
Provide members a business and professional leadership community that:
- has access to resources and information for its members
- develops a forum for networking for its members
- includes opportunities for its members to continuously learn and share knowledge on current, relevant and important topics
- constructs a channel for social and professional activities for its members.
Ethics:
Establish professional standards of ethical professional conduct and require members to uphold such conduct to reinforce the integrity of the organization by its members providing services and leading businesses in an ethical and professional manner, benefiting their company, employees, clients and the public at large.
Evolution:
Maintain a planning process that addresses the current and future needs of the Doctorate community as well as the all doctorate programs to meet changing academic and business requirements.
Educate:
WADDH offers programs a place to share best practices and gathers data that helps members improve their programs and that reveals the importance of business degree programs for professionals.
Network:
WADDH membership includes programs throughout the world. As a result, members can tap an extensive network. With its regional meetings, conferences, and other activities, WADDH offers opportunities to do just that.
Inform:
WADDH is committed to communicating ideas and information that make a difference for executive education degree programs, professionals, students, and companies. WADDH’s electronic publications, web site, directory, and outreach efforts all keep our members, the industry at large, and the public informed.
